Do you only work with horsehair?
No, all of our resin products can be made using almost any hair or ashes.
Can I use hair from more than one horse?
Absolutely, you can use the hair from as many horses as you wish. We can either mix all the hairs together or keep them separate to create a pattern. If this is something you’re interesting in having, then please fill in the contact form so that we can discuss this further.
What happens with my unused hair?
Any unused hair is returned to you along with your finished item.
I would like something that isn’t on your website, do you do custom pieces?
All of your items are custom made to order. If you have your own idea of what you’d like then please contact me to discuss this as we love nothing more than creating something individual to you.
I don’t have much hair, am I still able to have something made?
Absolutely, the amount of hair required for each item is listed on the products page. Our resin products can be made from as little as 1 or 2 strands of hair.
Can the bracelet length be changed?
All horsehair bracelets are made to measure so it is very important that you give us the correct measurement for your horsehair bracelet, as once it has been made it is very difficult to shorten it. We can lengthen horsehair bracelets by adding an extension chain at an additional cost.
Do I need to wash the hair before sending it to you?
You do not need to wash the hair before posting to me unless it is heavily soiled as this is something that I will do before starting work on your item.
Will it show if I cut a chunk of hair from my horses tail?
When done carefully, collecting hair is unlikely to have a visible effect on a horses tail. Please see the hair collecting page for the best way to do this.
Can you use mane hair?
We recommend using tail hair for bracelets because it is generally longer & stronger than mane hair. If you only have mane hair available & it has the length required then we can use it for pendants, if your mane hair is too short for a pendant we can use it in any of the resin items.
I can’t see an address, where do I send my hair?
When you’ve filled the contact form to place your order, you will be sent all relevant details. This helps us to keep track of orders.
